Three Persons Given Treatment
Three persons were treated at Highlands Community Hospital for minor injuries during the weekend.
John O. Ogg, 14, of Hillsboro Rt. 1, was treated for an injury to his left arm after he fell off a horse on Saturday.
Kenneth Locke, 3, of 820 West Main, city, was treated Saturday after he fell down some steps and hit his head against a door stop.
Stanley Meyer, 21, of Columbus, was treated for injuries suffered while diving at the beach at Rocky Fork Lake on Sunday.
Is this him?
Probably, and not certainly. Meyer was born in August 1940, so he turned twenty-one the month before this was printed, and Columbus is where he was living. Rocky Fork Lake is an hour and a quarter south-east of Columbus and was a state park by then, which is the sort of place a Columbus twenty-one-year-old went on a September Sunday.
Against that: Stanley Meyer is not a rare name, the item gives no middle initial, and a hospital list is the least identifying thing a newspaper prints. The archive holds it because the fit is good and because nothing else in the holdings covers 1961 at all — not because the identification is settled.
