Built by members. Chris Bake's horizontal voltage chamber: 119.5 volts at around 30 milliamps, about four watts on the meter, and the infrared gun on the outside of the tube climbs to 174.5 °F. Stan Meyer called his version the steam resonator: "we agitate the water molecules, which in turn generates kinetic energy, which in turn heats the water." His memo Particle Oscillation as an Energy Generator puts it as particles colliding under electrical stress to release thermal heat energy. Then Chris caps a three-inch electrode with a quarter. The gas is held for a moment instead of escaping, and what leaves the cap pours off as a white plume, which Chris reads as steam: trapped atoms colliding, the way Stan's memo describes. Both clips are on Chris's YouTube channel.

About the voices. The narrator is NeuralStan, an AI voice the archive uses for its made films. Where you hear Stan Meyer, it is Stan: every word of his is cut from an original recording, and nothing he says was synthesised.
