Stan Meyer planned to fly a jet around the world on water. At the Global Sciences Congress in 1992 he showed a slide of a Jet Commander and said: "We're going to try to break the record to go around the equator nonstop and turn it 90 degrees and go from north to south pole with it." It was not a new engine. His drawing, Figure 4-13 of memo WFC 423 DA, keeps the turbojet and puts his water fuel injectors in the combustion chamber and the afterburner, fed water by a pump: "all we do is replace the injectors in the jet engine." He started smaller, with pilot Rick Schneider and an Alaskan Bushmaster at an Ohio airstrip, and drew the same injectors as a cluster for a rocket engine. Stan died in 1998, and the archive has no record that either plane flew on water. The drawings and slides are on stanslegacy.com.
About the voices. The narrator is NeuralStan, an AI voice the archive uses for its made films. Where you hear Stan Meyer, it is Stan: every word of his is cut from an original recording, and nothing he says was synthesised.
