The Hughes house. Charles and Valorie Hughes took him in after he rang the doorbell; he sat for hours, stayed the night, and stayed about three years. Beside the house he built the solar silo, and in the family kitchen he baked the thousands of resin light guides it needed. The archive does not print the house number: people live there now.

1. The doorbell

   1975

   He knocked, and the Hughes family let him in. "The Lord sent me here to this home."

2. The solar silo

   1976

   Two storeys of translucent energy silo beside the house, reported by the Grove City Record through 1976 at half built, near done, 87 per cent and 98 per cent. It rained on the bicentennial demonstration.
