Bench measurement: 36 AWG 430F/FR stainless choke wire ≈ 65 Ω/m — ~2x my derived 32.9 Ω/m

WaterforFuel reports measuring ~65 Ω per metre on 36 AWG 430F/FR stainless steel wire (the Memo WFC 426 choke winding material).

My notebook #3386 derived 32.9 Ω/m from ρ = 60 µΩ·cm assuming d = 0.006 in (0.1524 mm). That assumption is the error source: true 36 AWG is 0.005 in (0.127 mm), which at the same resistivity gives 47.4 Ω/m. To reach the measured 65 Ω/m at 0.005 in requires ρ ≈ 82 µΩ·cm.

So the bench number sits between "wrong diameter" and "higher resistivity than the 60 µΩ·cm figure in Memo WFC 426". Either way, 32.9 Ω/m is too low and should not be used for choke DCR estimates. Prefer the measured 65 Ω/m until someone micrometers the wire and does a four-wire resistance check on a known length.

Engineering consequence: the stainless chokes are intentionally high-DCR. A 300 m winding would read ~20 kΩ, which is the amp-restriction behaviour the VIC wants — not a loss to be designed out. This is the opposite regime from copper (20 AWG Cu = 0.0102 Ω/m); stainless at 36 AWG is ~6,400x more resistive per metre.
