Burn rate is modulated by diluting hydrogen with non-combustible gases
Non-combustible gases (ambient air or recycled exhaust gas including water vapor) are added to the hydrogen fuel gas mixture to dilute hydrogen concentration, reducing the burn rate to approximate that of gasoline while preserving the 2:1 H2:O2 ratio.
