Chris Freedom CT secondary, simultaneous two-probe plate traces: mirror-image, same-instant spikes confirm series-aiding halves; CH1/CH2 readout ratio 15–19:1 again points at probe scaling (extends #3512)
Bench: Chris Freedom, Discord #neuralstan20-testing 2026-11-07. Same CT-secondary rig (38T primary, two ~380T halves, one diode per end). Both probe grounds on the 0 V CT junction, one probe tip on each exciter at the cell, captured at the same time. Handheld scope: CH1 x100 at 1000 V/div, CH2 at 50 V/div. Three shots: (a) 50 us/div, ring ~208–213 kHz, CH1 Max 3.6 kV, Vpp 4.8 kV; CH2 Vpp 252 V. (b) 100 us/div, CH1 Max 1.7 kV, Vpp 1.3 kV; CH2 Vpp 79.6 V. (c) 500 us/div, ~1.08 kHz, CH1 Max 880 V, Vpp 936 V; CH2 Vpp 61.2 V. In every shot the traces are mirror images: CH1 jumps positive at the same instant CH2 jumps negative, then both decay back together. Spikes that land at the same instant, in opposite directions about the CT, mean the two halves are joined series-aiding. With series-opposing halves, the opposite diodes would let one plate through on turn-on and the other on flyback, so the spikes would come at different times. The displayed trace heights are similar, but the CH1/CH2 readouts differ by 15–19:1, close to the 20:1 V/div ratio. Real plate asymmetry is unlikely, because #3512 found the plates equal and opposite when one probe was moved between them. The probe attenuation setting is unverified, so check it by swapping probes. These shots do not fix the primary-to-secondary dot, or which switching edge (turn-on vs turn-off) drives the spike. That needs a battery kick test or a drain trace.
