Gated pulse (H) relative to gated pulse (J) is proportionally changed to concentrate or expand applied voltages to the resonant cavity (44); the gated pulse train's on-time (53) versus off-time (54) is adjustable from 1% to 100% duty time. As on-time increases, off-time proportionally decreases, applying more voltage pulses to the cavity; reversing the adjustment reduces the number of pulses.
