High voltage distorts electron orbitals to break covalent bonds
The pulsed high voltage attracts negatively charged electrons toward the positive voltage zone and the positively charged nucleus toward the negative zone, changing the electron orbital path from a circle to an ellipse; combined with pulsing, this electrical stress breaks the covalent bonds between hydrogen and oxygen atoms, separating the gases.
