Optical thermal lens reflects gas ions through heat zone via two lenses
In the optical thermal lens assembly (FIG. 5C), combustible gas ions pass through a quenching circuit (30), then are reflected back and forth by lenses 31 and 32 through a thermal heat zone (33) before exiting through final port 34, allowing atomic breakdown prior to exit.
