Repetitive voltage pulse train incrementally elongates gas ions during electron removal
Repetitive application of a voltage pulse train (A through J of FIG. 6A) incrementally achieves the critical state of gas ions; as gas atoms/ions elongate during electron removal, electromagnetic wave energy of a predetermined frequency and intensity is injected to further destabilize the ionic gas.
