Specific voltage breakdown levels L-2 through L-5 for exciter plate configurations
In a given size apparatus, successive electron-leakage breakdown levels occur at 4, 5.5, 7, and 8.5 volts (L-2, L-3, L-4, L-5 respectively) as different leakage-inhibiting techniques (uni-polar pulsed d.c., duty cycle pulses, serial plate connection, and current inhibitor resistor) are applied in sequence.
