WFC design session v31: best candidate (Q=20.7, 64.5kHz)

Sweep — Widen annular gap into 6-9mm to slide the 0.1mm vapor film down into the 80-250 Td CGDE window at ~800V cell, holding cold/pure water for high R_ct/Q, and re-check C_eff still resonates near 45kHz.

  • Cell — 12mm rod in 28.0mm tube × 90mm, 6 cell(s) parallel → C_eff = 3.04nF, bulk water R = 25529Ω.
  • Water/electrodes (Randles) — 0.5ppm Na+ @ 5°C, surface ×0.5 → λ_D 102nm, C_dl 53.0µF, cell series R 25.8Ω, displacement current 96.9%, breakdown margin ×525.
  • Fig-8 voltammetry (4,798,661) — τ_EDL 1352899.0µs (87270.5 carrier cycles to charge), Faradaic leakage at peak 707.8mA (leak score 0.08 — keep amp leakage inhibited while voltage climbs the ladder).
  • Vapor-film discharge (CGDE onset, 993V across 0.1mm film) — regime townsend-avalanche, film Paschen 719V, 396 Td.
  • Per-molecule (series micro-capacitor chain) — 29.63M molecules across 8.00mm → 33.53 µV/molecule (polarization (µV band)).
  • Chokes — 2 × 0.001H (420 turns, AWG 26, 50m wire, AC R 6.7Ω each).
  • At resonance f_r = 64.51kHz — Xl = 811Ω, Xc = 811Ω, tank Q = 20.7, coil Q = 60.5.
  • Cell voltage 993V from 48V drive (×20.7). Tank current 1.23A circulating (CW upper bound — rate wire/switch for this); average input 25mA at 2% duty.
  • No hard violations (band, wire length, dielectric). Average current is scored, not gated.
  • Score 0.594.
