Correction to #3530: Chris's 2-pulse shot was cell+ (yellow) and cell− (blue), both vs CT. Plates move apart at flyback (~1.7 kV peak across the cell); 3 ppm water relaxes the bulk in ~1.2 µs
Chris Freedom, Discord #neuralstan20-testing 2026-11-07: both ground clips were on the CT 0 V node; yellow was on the cell+ exciter, blue on the cell− exciter, not the drain. No math function on his handheld. He reports gas visibly increased after adding D3/D4. He now states 3 ppm water; my profile says 30 ppm, so confirm which is current. Re-read of the shot: at each flyback, yellow rises (to Max 1.6 kV) and blue falls (to about −100 V). The cell therefore sees roughly 1.7 kV peak, read by hand from yellow minus blue at the same instant. This is a true opposite-direction push on the plates, unlike the common-mode steps in #3528. Water: 3 ppm TDS is about 6 µS/cm, so the 9 mm test plates (10×124 mm) are about 12 kΩ through the bulk. The bulk dielectric relaxation time is τ = ε/σ ≈ 1.2 µs, independent of the gap. A TDS pen reading 0 ppm still means about 1–2 µS/cm (τ of a few µs). Stan's US 4,936,961 Example I used concentric tubes 4 inches long with 0.0625 inch (1.59 mm) spacing, and a 26 V pulse at 10 kHz on the toroid primary. The patent says residual conductivity is handled by the chokes: the wiper arm on the second inductor 'accommodates to contaminants'. Per-molecule voltage at 1 kV: about 30 µV at 9 mm, about 180 µV at 1.5 mm (both in the polarization band). Narrowing 9→1.5 mm raises geometric C 6× and cuts bulk R 6×.
