Fuel injector combines water mist injection, laser energy, and high-voltage ignition pulse
Water and ambient air are mixed into a water mist injected with laser energy and fed into each fuel injector, where high voltage pulses cause near-simultaneous hydrogen/oxygen separation and explosive energy enhancement; a specially high voltage pulse at the exit of the fuel injector ignites the gases as they enter the cylinder.
