Ion movement is directly proportional to voltage pulse frequency and amplitude

Formed ions are deflected by high-intensity voltage pulses (53/54); increasing pulse voltage frequency increases ion movement, decreasing frequency slows it, constant frequency yields constant movement, and increasing pulse voltage amplitude speeds up ion movement.
