Sidney chapter to host guest speaker
The Sidney Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International will meet Saturday at 6 p.m. at Dale’s Smorgasbord in Piqua.
Guest speaker will be Stanley A. Meyer, a businessman and free-lance inventor from Grove City.
His scientific and engineering background covers many fields of endeavor—heart monitors for the medical profession, the Validator System for financial institutions, the Nivax Actar System for the oceanography field and a special concept for Star Wars technology.
Meyer’s latest projects involve water fuel cell technology as a means of helping end the energy crisis. Many energy patents have been granted to Meyer over the years.
He founded and served as chairman of several high technology businesses. He also co-sponsored other business activities in the international market place.
Meyer is working on a book entitled “With the Lord, There Is Purpose.”
Tickets for the meal must be obtained from Terry Billing or Ernest Heintz. Walk-ins are welcome after 6:45 p.m.
The book
“With the Lord, There Is Purpose.” The archive holds no copy, no manuscript and no other mention of it. If it was finished, nobody has produced it; if it was abandoned, this notice is the only record that it was ever begun.
The list before the water fuel cell
The four things named here — heart monitors, the Validator System, the Nivax Actar System, and a concept for Star Wars — are Meyer’s own account, given to a church supper’s publicity, and none of them is corroborated anywhere else in the holdings. They are recorded because they are specific enough to be checked by somebody who has the patent record or the company filings, which is more than can be said for most of what he said about his earlier career.
The date of the supper is Saturday 20 June 1987, at Dale’s Smorgasbord in Piqua — the second speaking engagement the archive can put on a map, and the second of them in this corner of west-central Ohio, forty miles from the Bradford church he preached at five years earlier.
