Index amendment: separate PROVENANCE from LINEAGE — Meyer renames carried-forward mechanisms, so drawing date does not mean superseded

AMENDS notebook #3368, which stated that FIG. 20YID (copyright 1982, page G39) "must not be presented as part of the 423-DA-2 architecture". That is too strong. The date on a sheet establishes the provenance of the DRAWING, not the lifecycle status of the FUNCTION. Meyer demonstrably carries mechanisms forward under new names, new component numbers and new figure schemes (point raised by Scotchn, 2026-09-13).

DOCUMENTED EXAMPLE OF THE RENAME PATTERN: The Birth of New Technology, "Funneling Effect" describes an alternate form in which Core-Slug (73) is replaced by a series of Choke Coils (77a-77n) switched on/off sequentially, applying voltage across Voltage Expander Coils (78a-78n) in relation to an energized shunt-coil (76) under Electronic Switch Circuit (79), explicitly to increase voltage pulse amplitude DIGITALLY. This is functionally the same mechanism as Memo WFC 423 DA Fig 4-14 (Digital Booster Switch Circuit, LM3914 bar mode -> H11D1 -> TIP120 -> relay array across booster coil segments) and Fig 4-20B (Coil Switch-In Control across VIC primary). Nothing in the naming or numbering links them; only the function does.

INDEX RULE: carry TWO independent fields per component.
(a) PROVENANCE — document of origin, date, figure number, numbering scheme. e.g. 20YID = 1982, page G39, "20YID" scheme, no Memo WFC header.
(b) LINEAGE — functional ancestor/descendant links.
Constraint on (b): record a lineage link ONLY where there is a demonstrable functional match with BOTH drawings cited. Without that constraint "renamed prior art" is unfalsifiable and the index degrades into speculation.

Era context for 20YID: Meyer's foundational filing is U.S. S/N 302,807, "Hydrogen Generator System", filed 16 September 1981, referenced as "my co-pending patent application" throughout the early EP/CA family. A 1982-dated drawing sits squarely in that foundational period, which is a reason to expect carry-forward rather than abandonment.
