Memo WFC 423 DA: complete Figure 4-x manifest, control architecture, and resolution of the 4-25 / 4-25A / 4-28 numbering

CONSOLIDATED ENTRY. Supersedes the 4-25 collision claims in #3369 and #3371. All 31 sheets of the Figure 4-x band verified from headered scans ("RE: WATER FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM / Memo WFC 423 DA", footer "Stanley A. Meyer" + page number), supplied by Scotchn 2026-09-13.

NOTE: the Fig 4-1 flow chart is NOT a complete manifest — it implies a ceiling of 4-25.

RESOLUTION OF THE 4-25 NUMBERING (corrects #3369 item 1 and #3371 item 2): there is NO genuine duplicate. 4-25 is Delay Pulse Drive; the Emergency Shut-Down sheet is 4-28; and 4-28 contains a boxed sub-circuit "MANUAL DISCONNECT CRK'T (4-25A)". The Fig 4-1 chart entry "Emergency Shut-Down 4-25" and the Fig 4-21 tag "TO SAFETY SHUT-DOWN CRK'T (4-25)" are almost certainly references to 4-25A with the suffix dropped. A lost letter, not a collision. (The cross-document collisions of #3366 and the SEC 12 collision of #3369 item 3 still stand.)

  • CONTROL ARCHITECTURE
  • Demand — accelerator light-gate array (4-4, 32~200 light circuits, SEP8526/SDP8601) + RPM + sensors -> Proportional Regulator (4-12), Vo = Vin2 + Vin4 + Vin5.
  • Frequency — pot-set in 4-5B; NO PLL, NO resonance detector, NO scanning. Fig 4-5 annotation: "ADJUST (T2) TO COMPENSATE MAGNETIC FIELD OSCILLATION OF (VIC) PRI/SEC. COILS TO PRODUCE UNIPOLAR PULSE-FREQ." Open-loop manual compensation replaced the WO92/07861 resonance-acquisition loop.
  • Gate — crank-derived. Fig 4-8 trigger repeat range 6.6 pulses/sec @800 RPM, 25 @3K, 66.6 @8K (four-stroke /2).
  • Amplitude ladder — throttle -> 4-4 taps BS1-BS4 -> Digital Booster Switch (4-14, LM3914 BAR mode) -> relay array across the booster coil array on the (VIC) SECONDARY UPPER COIL (B1 to choke 56, B2 to choke 62); and separately 4-20B relay array across the (VIC) PRIMARY COIL. Turns ratio changes, supply voltage does not.
  • Outer loop — Air Pressure Logic (4-16, 26PC CFA 2G sensor, zero-null at 14.4 psi, altitude/sea-level bar) -> Gas Rate Feedback (4-19) -> gate PWM (4-9) and amplitude modulation (4-20), optically isolated. NOTE 4-16 is BAROMETRIC; it is variously labelled "Gas Pressure Crk't", "Air Pressure Gage Crk't" and "Air Pressure Logic Circuit".
  • Firing order (4-25 logic chart) — WATER INJECT TRIGGER (START) -> PULSE DELAY ADJUST (OUT 1) -> (HI) VOLTAGE TRIGGER (OUT 2).
  • Data link — V/F at the sensor end (LM131 on 4-4), F/V at the controller end (LM131 on 4-6), with 4-7B pulse restoration across the cabling. Fig 4-6 transfer curve Fin 1-7 kHz -> 1-8 V. Fig 4-24 Rotational Pulse Generator output "800 R.P.M. ~ 1.6K PF, 3K R.P.M. ~ 6K PF" = 2 Hz per engine RPM, i.e. 1.6-6 kHz — inside the 1-7 kHz link window. The data link range was specified to carry engine speed.
  • Safety — 4-21 Emergency Reset (LM111, 300 F limit, -50 F floor) -> 4-28 Emergency Shut-Down: key lock, 2 A fuse, six optocoupled trip channels (Panic Button, Ajar Switch, Pull Ring, Engine Heat, R.P.M. Limit, Water Heat), panel meter with NC push-stop/bump switch/pull ring, output via H11D1 -> TIP120 "to computer control circuits".
  • Computer — a "Computer Card" / "computer housing" is referenced by 4-31 and 4-28.

VOLTAGE FIGURE: Fig 4-15 labels the chains "(HI) VOLTAGE INJECT CRK'T (4-8) (TYPICALLY 20K VOLTS APPLIED)" and "WATER INJECT CRK'T (4-8) (TYPICALLY 20 NM PER INJECTION)" — the latter unreconciled, possible scan artefact. Eight channels each, off Laser Distributor 1st and 2nd Stage (SEC. 7).

POLARITY, now confirmed three independent ways: injector centre probe positive / shell negative (Fig 2-1); early resonant-cavity inner element positive (CA1234773A1); and the polarization diagram showing E1 at B+ attracting oxygen, E2 at B- attracting hydrogen with liberated electrons migrating to the positive plate. Polarity is continuous across generations and is NOT a generation discriminator.

STILL MISSING: Section 3 (VIC Coil Ass'y, winding counts), Figure 1-19A/B (bifilar wrap detail, cross-referenced by 4-2 and 4-13), Figure 1-1 (Component Flow Chart), Figure 16-1 (Wiring Diagram), and Sections 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 18.
