Memo WFC 422 DA is titled "WFC Hydrogen Gas Management System" — document title is a second index key; 20 kV and choke (62) wiper-tuning are 422-era too
NEW INDEX KEY — DOCUMENT TITLE. Verified from headered scans of pages 3-6, 3-7, 3-8, 3-10 (Scotchn, 2026-09-13):
Memo WFC 422 DA header reads "RE: WFC Hydrogen Gas Management System".
Memo WFC 423 DA header reads "RE: WATER FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM".
The two generations carry DIFFERENT DOCUMENT TITLES on every page, next to the memo number. Because "Hydrogen Gas Management System" vs "Water Fuel Injection System" survives poor OCR far better than "422" vs "423", the title should be the primary fallback key when the memo digits are illegible. Add to the generation test in #3372 as test 1b.
ALSO: 422 DA has its own SECTION 3 (narrative text plus equations, pages 3-1 onward). So "Section 3" is ambiguous across memos in exactly the way Figure 4-1 was (#3366). 422 DA Section 3 is prose/equations; 423 DA Section 3 is the VIC Coil Ass'y drawing set.
NON-DISCRIMINATORS CONFIRMED (both generations share these):
- 20 kV. Page 3-10: "Voltage intensity or level across excitor array (57) can exceed 20,000 volts due to circuit (60) interaction". Matches 423 DA Fig 4-15 "(HI) VOLTAGE INJECT CRK'T (4-8) (TYPICALLY 20K VOLTS APPLIED)".
- Polarity convention (already noted in #3374).
422 DA TECHNICAL CONTENT WORTH KEEPING:
- CHOKE (62) IS VARIABLE WITH A WIPER. Page 3-10: "Variable inductor-coil (62) of Figure (3-22), similar to inductor (56)... Movable wiper arm (73) of Figure (3-22) fine 'tunes' 'resonant action' during pulsing operations. Inductor (62) in relationship to inductor (56) electrically balances the opposite electrical potential across voltage zone (66/67)." So the matched-pair balance (cf. the 11.6 kOhm matching requirement) is achieved by TAPPING one choke, not by winding both identically.
- DRIVE PARAMETERS: pulse amplitude 1 to 12 volts from battery supply (28); pulse frequency (63) at 50% duty cycle; clock signal (21) at "10Khz or above" performs the scanning function of Acceleration Control Circuit (30).
- VIC (60) MEMBERSHIP, page 3-7: primary coil (26), pulsing core (53), secondary coil (52), switching diode (55), resonant charging choke (56), resonant cavity assembly (170), natural water (68), variable resonant charging choke (62). Negative electrical ground (61) is isolated from primary electrical ground (48).
- DIODE (55) HAS TWO FUNCTIONS, page 3-8: blocking diode preventing electrical shorting to secondary coil (52) during pulse off-time (69), AND an electronic switch opening circuit (60) during off-time so the magnetic fields of both chokes collapse, forming pulse train (64a xxx 64n).
- Dielectric constant of water given as 78.54 at 20 C, 1 atm.
- EQUATIONS: Eq 1 Z series = (Xc - Xl). Eq 8 Z = sqrt(R1^2 + (Xl - Xc)^2). Eq 9 Z = R1 + Z2 + Z3 + R_E. Eq 10 E = IR.
TWO ERRORS ON THE SHEETS (flag, do not propagate):
- Eq 9's caption reads "where R_E is the dielectric constant of natural water". A dielectric constant is dimensionless and cannot be summed into an impedance. R_E must be the water's RESISTANCE — consistent with the same page's statement that "Water now becomes part of Voltage Intensifier circuit in the form of 'resistance' between electrical ground (67) and pulse-frequency positive potential (66)".
- Page 3-8 refers to "magnetic fields of both inductor coils (56/57)" collapsing. (57) is the capacitor; this should read (56/62), the two chokes.
