The round table
Episodes
Two hosts, a panel, and the questions the forums have been asking for fifteen years — each one ending with the number that would settle it. Broadcast on YouTube; kept here.

One Microsecond A University of Latvia laboratory built a bifilar coil, a fast diode and a water cell, and put the collapse pulse on a scope: 640 volts in deionised water, 9 in electrolyte, from the same coil, and for the first microsecond the cell is a capacitor. The Leaky Condenser Meyer called the water cell a capacitor and, in the same article, a resistance. Fleming solved that case in 1896. With Gabel's measured tube cells and Fleming's time constant: only deionised water holds a charge long enough for the VIC to work. Part 3 of The Textbook Behind the VIC. Ring, Dead-Beat, and the Lock Fleming's test for whether the VIC's choke and water cell ring or simply drain, with the measured coils; and his warning that it holds at one frequency only, which is why Meyer's circuits had to scan and lock. The Electromotive Blow Meyer said his chokes restrict the amps while the voltage goes on the water. Fleming's section on impulsive discharges, Lodge's alternative path and the telegraph engineers' lightning protectors all say when that is true, and Gabel's chokes put a number on it. Twice the Pulse The resonant charging choke, read with Steinmetz and Fleming: a choke in series with a condenser can double its voltage, and no more, and only when the pulse lasts half the ring — the 'charging frequency' in Meyer's own definition. What the Iron Does The pulsing transformer read as Fleming's induction coil, with the measured coils of a real estate VIC: the core multiplies every winding up to 25 times, the turns ratio hides in the inductances, and iron 'is not a constant quantity'. Choking Coils Can Raise the Voltage Stan Meyer's Voltage Intensifier Circuit, read beside the electrical textbooks of the 1890s. Steinmetz printed the principle in 1900: 'choking coils, or reactive coils, can be used for raising the voltage.' The first film in The Textbook Behind the VIC. What the Water Introduces to the Metal Every builder conditions their tubes and watches the ammeter fall. The change is real and it is at the surface, where both brothers put it — an oxide two nanometres thick that the water grows. Torque, Not Tension The founding claim: a voltage field pulls the water molecule apart. In the bulk it cannot — it turns it. But almost none of his voltage is in the bulk. The Wavelength of the Gap The claim at the centre of it all: that a water molecule bounces between two electrodes, faster and faster, for as long as you drive it.
